Andersen 200 Series double hung windows were first introduced in 2000. They are a simpler more affordable double hung window. The sizing of the 200 Series is modular, that is they are made to fit into even size rough openings. This made the 200 Series popular with many builders because it is simpler to create a 36" rough opening size than a 38-1/8" rough opening size. 200 Series windows are similar to many windows on the market today. The tilt latches are located on the top rail of each sash and are spring loaded. Once the sash is opened a few inches the spring latches can be retracted and the sash will tilt in.
